Matt Kaiser Teaches CLE on Ethics and Criminal Defense
On May 14th, Kaiser Partner Matt Kaiser will give a presentation on common ethics issues in criminal cases to the DC Bar. As part of the class, Matt Kaiser will discuss an array of legal ethics issues, questions, and concerns that arise in criminal defense cases. Some topics of discussion in this CLE class include the ethics of joint representations in criminal investigations, terminating or withdrawing from representations, the options an attorney has when responding to a petition for post-conviction relief alleging ineffective assistance, and how to handle when a client or witness is committed to sharing what an attorney knows to be perjurious testimony.
Matt is a frequent speaker at legal ethics CLEs, where he teaches lawyers and others about legal ethics. Matt advises lawyers, law firms, and nonprofit organizations on compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.
