William Pittard Teaches CLE on Representing Clients in Congressional Investigations

On September 26th, Kaiser PLLC Managing Partner William Pittard will join a distinguished panel of speakers for the DC Bar’s presentation “Representing Clients in Congressional Investigations 2024.” As part of the CLE webinar, Bill will be discussing the complexities of congressional investigations, including the unique scope of Congress’s subpoena power, enforcement procedures, and how to navigate contentious subpoenas.

Bill will be joined by Andrew D. Herman of the Law Firm of Andrew D. Herman PLLC and Allison F. Murphy of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Together, they will share insights on defending against congressional inquiries, handling constitutional rights and privileges, and representing high-profile clients under investigation.

Bill regularly speaks regarding legal issues involving Congress. Bill previously served as Deputy General Counsel and Acting General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives. While maintaining a broad litigation practice, Bill has deep experience representing individuals and entities involved in congressional proceedings, including congressional inquiries, hearings, and investigations.
