Matt Kaiser to Speak at the ABA’s Twelfth Annual London White Collar Crime Institute
Kaiser partner Matt Kaiser will speak on a panel titled “Exploring AI and International White-Collar Crime: Trends, Collaboration, and Enforcement Challenges,” at the American Bar Association’s Twelfth Annual London White Collar Crime Institute, being held in London October 14-15, 2024.
On October 14, Matt will join panelists Howard Cooper of Kroll; the Honorable Wesley L. Hsu, District Judge, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California; Richard Kaplan of Kaplan Marino; and Brent Wible of the U.S. Department of Justice. The panel will address the technical challenges of detecting and enforcing crimes related to artificial intelligence, the types of white-collar crimes that may result from the misuse of AI, as well as the latest trends in this rapidly developing technology, focusing on issues of international collaboration and extraterritorial enforcement.
The ABA’s London White Collar Crime Institute brings top legal practitioners from across the globe to London to discuss issues of global significance to white-collar practitioners, including international money laundering and sanctions, cross-border evidentiary concerns, international internal investigations, and more. In addition, the Women’s White Collar Defense Association is partnering with the London White Collar Crime Institute to host a lunch and panel discussion for conference participants, WWCDA members, and guests after the close of the conference on October 15.
Matt is a frequent speaker about legal ethics and white-collar criminal defense. Matt advises lawyers, law firms, and nonprofit organizations on compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct, and represents clients in connection with white-collar criminal cases and other government investigations.
