Matt Kaiser Appointed Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee

Kaiser founding partner Matt Kaiser has been appointed Co-Chair of the Criminal Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), a leading forum for global dialogue on substantive and procedural criminal law. In this prestigious role, Matt will co-lead the committee alongside Sabine ten Doesschate of Sjöcrona Van Stigt Advocaten in the Netherlands, overseeing initiatives that connect criminal law practitioners across diverse legal systems.

Matt’s appointment builds on his decade-long engagement with the IBA and his commitment to fostering collaboration within the global legal community. “I am honored to serve as Co-Chair of the IBA’s Criminal Law Committee and look forward to fostering dialogue, innovation, and engagement among criminal law practitioners worldwide,” said Matt. “This committee is a vital platform for addressing the ever-evolving challenges of international criminal law.”

The IBA’s Criminal Law Committee provides members with opportunities to meet regularly, exchange views, and stay informed on critical developments in criminal law and criminal procedure. The committee emphasizes topics of transnational and international significance, ensuring members remain at the forefront of global legal trends. The committee’s annual gathering takes place in Santiago, Chile, this year, where professionals from around the world will convene to discuss pressing legal challenges and innovations in the field.
