Kaiser Partner Matt Kaiser to Speak on Crime Victims’ Rights at ABA White Collar Conference
Kaiser partner Matt Kaiser will be a speaker at the American Bar Association’s White Collar Crime Institute, scheduled to take place in Miami, Florida, March 4 – March 7. This premier event brings together leading legal professionals, former government officials, and scholars to examine key developments and challenges in white-collar criminal defense.
Matt will join a distinguished panel to discuss “Crime Victims’ Rights in Corporate Criminal Proceedings.” This discussion will explore the role of crime victims in federal criminal cases. The panel will delve into the legal protections afforded to victims under the Crime Victims’ Rights Act (CVRA), with a particular focus on recent corporate resolutions. Panelists will also examine the challenges victims and government attorneys face in ensuring victims have a voice in the justice process, as well as best practices for government attorneys and the defense bar when addressing victims’ advocacy rights in corporate criminal proceedings.
