Colby Moore represents clients facing complex white-collar criminal and regulatory enforcement matters, drawing on his litigation experience and government service. His practice includes conducting internal investigations, counseling clients on potential criminal exposure, and representing clients in federal criminal prosecutions.

Colby’s background as a judicial law clerk for two federal judges in the Eastern District of Virginia has given him unique insight into the litigation process. This experience allows him to approach each case with a thorough understanding of courtroom dynamics, helping his clients navigate legal challenges. Prior to his clerkships, Colby worked at Paul Hastings LLP, where he honed his skills in white-collar investigations and regulatory compliance, representing individuals and corporate clients being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities & Exchange Commission, and congressional committees.

Colby has a strong commitment to public service. While in law school, he held roles with the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. District Judge Steven D. Grimberg of the Northern District of Georgia, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. His dedication to justice extends to his pro bono work, and he was awarded the Pro Bono Publico Medal by Emory Law School for his work providing unpaid legal services to persons of limited means.

Colby is admitted to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia, and he is a member of the bars for the Fourth Circuit and the Eastern District of Virginia.

Prior to law school, Colby worked in politics in Washington, D.C., working at the White House, the U.S. House of Representatives, the Democratic National Committee, and for numerous campaigns.
